I would like to start off by explaining my concentration as a whole and then explain my best piece. Each of my pieces tells a part of a renaissance love story between a commoner and a princess. I wanted to tell a love story that tells about the struggles and beautiful moments of a relationship mostly because growing up I loved reading stories about princesses and princes in worlds of fantasy. Growing up I learned the truth about my old story books, The prince was never perfect and rarely charming .The princess wasn't royalty, she wasn't popular, She was sometimes mean and rude. The princess was me. For most of my teen life I tried to find my prince charming only to find out he was just a toad until I met my boyfriend Tony who is the boy in my story. Before I get too crazy into the plot I’d like to talk about my inspiration. I decided to do a digital painting not only because that is what I’m good at but because I am inspired by the paintings I saw in the taft museum. I had always been fond of renaissance paintings and how smooth the painters would portray the skin of the people in the paintings. For the plot of my story I went with something like the story of romeo and Juliet but they don't die in the end. For most of my paintings I start with a highly saturated picture of the part of the story I am trying to explain. I then do a digital painting on a scanned cream paper.
